The Suffers Deliver Positive Vibes with “Do Whatever”


Ever since we witness the power and full throated soul of The Suffers a couple of years in the Meatpacking District in downtown Manhattan, we have been unabashed fans of this group. Led by the unmistakable lead vocals of Kam Franklin, this 8-piece soul band from Houston, Texas blows the roof of of every venue and the minds of the legions of soulheads who are jumping on board daily.

Their newest single “Do Whatever” is the first from their forthcoming LP (and tour) Everything Here, which is due this Summer. The mid-uptempo song showcases Franklin’s distinctive vocal talents and range while proclaiming a message of personal positivity and life affirming themes. She capably rides a groove complete with a stellar brass section that feels like a warm Summer night on the Gulf Coast, from which they hail.
