If you were like us, you were very happy with Maxwell‘s performance of his first single, “Lake By The Ocean” on last night’s BET Awards and equally impressed by his soul stirring rendition of Prince‘s “Nothing Compares 2 You.” On the heels of that, he has released a very cool and well executed new track, “Gods,” which will appear on his forthcoming album, blackSUMMERS’night (expected to be released this Friday, July 1, 2016) After a few listens, we are sure this new song about a potentially soured relationship and the power struggle that often exists within one will hit Urban A/C so get ready to hear this one more this Summer and likely into the Fall.
