We are very impressed by this mellow head nodder that came across our virtual desk this week. Leveraging a marvelous sample of Outkast‘s “Prototype,” the groove harkens back to the days of loungecore classics like “Smoker’s Delight” by Nightmares on Wax and other downtempo era joints. We really appreciated the syncopated spoken word vocal accompaniment provide by Tai Allen himself, who is providing his take on finding love in the strangest places.
