Your Old Droog Delivers Cleverly Conceived New Track “Basketball & Seinfeld” [FULL STREAM] @YourOldDroog

Following up his six-song EP The Nicest originally released back in July, the Brooklyn born, Ukrainian rhyme architect known as Your Old Droog (“Droog” meaning “friend” in Russian) has delivered his latest single “Basketball & Seinfeld.” The self-produced track with sampled hints of the Seinfeld theme song makes for a catchy single that’s sure to make head nods. Y.O.D. perfectly blends the two seemingly incongruous topics using witty metaphors of Seinfeld characters juxtaposed with past and present NBA ball players because #ballislife.

Your Old Droog exploded on the scene in 2014 after his self-titled EP was rumored to have been recorded by the legendary emcee Nas under an alter ego.  Contrary to the comparisons to Nas, Your Old Droog continues to construct his own lane as a Brooklyn artist and has stayed busy touring with DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’9 on their PRhyme tour.

If you haven’t already discovered this gentlemen’s gift for rhyme, well, there’s no better time than now. Stream “Basketball & Seinfeld” in full below.
