After the success of her 2014 non-album single Experience, Kanye West protégé Kacy Hill has blessed us with the recent arrival of her debut EP entitled Bloo. The musical offering is a splash of offsetting colors and sounds that places her in the foreground of the pop world. The Phoenix, Arizona bred singer-songwriters lead single Foreign Fields is an ambient piano-laced tune, that is, until the chorus rolls around with pulsating bass and thunderous drums, with her strong falsetto soaring above it all.
The video is simple and minimalistic, matching well with the moody track produced by the hotly-tipped British newcomer Jack Garratt. The visuals are dark and striking, with Hill as the focal point and nothing more then a head shot of the burgeoning singer. Dont let Hill’s easy-on-the-eyes looks fool you though, the talented G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings artist is here to stay. And contrary to her Twitter handle, which proclaims that she makes music you dont know about, she is most definitely crafting memorable songs that the world will know about soon enough.
