SOULHEAD ALERT! SOULHEAD ALERT! Tonight, it is going down in Brooklyn! As part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. concert series, the legendary Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, will be gracing the Wingate Field stage tonight and we are sure the place will be packed so get there early. We are. For those that are not aware of how incredible a concert can be, you need to make your way down to this one. Having seen Maze and Frankie many times before, we can attest to the fact that this man and this band cannot be touched. With a string of hits ranging back to the 70’s, including ‘Joy & Pain’, ‘Happy Feelings‘ and ‘Golden Time of Day‘, this band has been nicknamed the Black Grateful Dead for their blend of improvisation, solid grooves and fiercely loyal fan base. Fans in the South are fairly used to the regular shows that Frankie puts on as Maze tours tirelessly throughout the year. In my hometown of Washington, D.C., Frankie is nearly on God-level status. So it is really a treat for us way up North, to be able to be blessed with this show. Again, this is a must see.
