This is too sad. MCA was our favorite Beastie Boy. His flow, in our opinion, was the smoothest and most authentically hip hop. We were huge fans of the group when they exploded onto the scene with classics like “The New Style” and “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.” We loved hearing MCA spit “Like a lemon to a lime a lime to a lemon I sip the def ale with all the fly women” and are truly saddened by his passing.

Beastie Boys‘ rapper MCA – real name Adam Yauch – has died, according to Global Grind.
GG reports he “passed this morning after a long bout with cancer.”In 2009, Yauch revealed that he was being treated after discovering a tumor in his salivary gland. He underwent surgery and radiation therapy.
He is now survived by his wife and daughter.
Yauch co-founded the Beastie Boys with Mike “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horowitz in 1979.
