Leveraging Herb Alpert’s legendary “Rise” sample made popular by Notorious B.I.G. in the classic “Hypnotize,” the three cats from Boston collectively known as BBD or Bell Biv DeVoe have a definite radio and club hit on their hands. Leaked this past July, the new Erick Sermon produced track is the first from their forthcoming LP, Three Stripes, due out in January 2017. Fans will not be disappointed by this track that resists the aforementioned “Hypnotize” and even gives a nod to their gold digger epic “Poison” from their debut LP of the same name. Coming off recent success with New Edition bandmate, Johnny Gill, on his latest track, “This One’s for Me and You,” these brothers are in for a very fruitful year for sure.
