Like many fans throughout the World, we were shocked to learn about the passing of Albert Johnson AKA Prodigy of legendary hip-hop duo Mobb Deep on Tuesday, June 20. Having lived with and battled sickle cell anemia, Prodigy succumbed to complications from the disease shortly after a performance with his partner in rhyme, Havoc, in Las Vegas. Since then, there have been countless articles and tributes but, until now, we had not heard from those closest to him about his death. In this short interview with Havoc, it is clear that he is taking Prodigy’s death very hard.
