June is Black Music Month! And in celebration, BET is premiering a four part documentary series called #TheMessage – The Truth About Hip-Hop. The series will be broken in to various segments that cover the history of hip hop as told by the changemakers of yesterday and today. Sitting down with an incredible ensemble of hip hop royalty, including Pharrell, Eve, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Baby and many others, this series will cover various topics about the hip hop industry. Venturing in to conversations about regional differences, women in hip-hop, commercialism in the industry, and even it’s place in national history, this series is sure to explore some incredible truths!
