We are pleased to bring you this new mixtape from hot and rising R&B/Soul singer Chrisette Michele. For the past several years, this beautiful singer has been tearing up the charts with sensational ballads sung with passion and a voice eerily reminiscent of the late great Minnie Ripperton. This mixtape features all new unreleased material from Chrisette Michele (along with several notable collaboratinos) as a dedication to the artistic vision inspired by Audrey Hepburn and the #RichHipster movement!
Honestly, this mixtape represents a real departure for Chrisette. Featuring some serious electronica and progressive beats, this collection will appeal to a more global audience. On many songs, her voice is more nuanced than the power ballads for which she has become known. While there are no breakaway classics here, it is a very strong outing and one that should yield at least 1 underground hit.
Our only issue with project is that some of the songs towards the end are much weaker than those in the beginning. Newcomers like Lem Payne add diversity but distract from the overall quality and cohesion that could have been achieved without them.
