We are psyched over here at the prospect of more artists putting out instrumental hip hop, especially when it sounds as fresh and soulful as this. Similar in spirit to Brooklyn’s Stuyvesants or Oddisee and soulfully reminiscent of early Pete Rock or RZA, this collection of beats by Al da Ear is just what we needed to be listening to as we dig out from the pile of work that seems to never go down. If you are at work at need some funky background music, this will be exactly what you need. There are some serious grooves on here. Enjoy.
